Johnson & Johnson Finally Admits Their Baby Products Contain Carcinogens

We all know that the most important thing to every parent is their children's health and well being. Parents always make sure that their children get everything they need, from sufficient physical activities, well-balanced diet, fresh air, enough sleep, and being free from anything that can compromise their health, including exposure to harmful chemicals.

Johnson & Johnson is one of the most popular brands for baby care products. It has been trusted by consumers from all over the world for years. Until recently, the giant company finally admitted that its baby products contain toxic ingredients that can cause cancer.

One toxic ingredient found in Johnson & Johnson products is 1,4-dioxane, a chemical compound which the Environmental Protection Agency links to skin irritation, headaches, drowsiness, vertigo and liver damage.

Another toxic ingredient is Quaternium-15 which is found in Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo. This chemical emits formaldehyde, which is a known carcinogen that can trigger reactions on the baby’s skin over time.

Babies and toddlers have very delicate immune system that requires utmost care. Continuous exposure of children's body to toxic ingredients by using Johnson & Johnson baby products can cause harmful effects such as chronic illnesses, autoimmune diseases, and poor health in the long run.

Johnson & Johnson came out with a statement that these toxic chemicals are now being removed from their American products, although there is no guarantee how long this process will take. Furthermore, why trust a company that inconsiderately exposed its consumers to serious health risks?

On the other hand, toxin-free Johnson & Johnson products can be found in other countries including Sweden, Japan, Norway, South Africa, Finland, and Denmark. So why did the U.S. decided to take action just recently?

Right now, the best option for everyone is to find safer alternatives for children's body care. There are lots of other companies out there that offer healthy baby care products including Burt’s Bees, Aveeno, Baby Ganics, California Baby, and Little Twig to name a few. Ideally, parents can test their product samples and decide which one works best for their family.

Being well-informed is a huge advantage, especially when health is at stake.
