Easy DIY Toner For Oily Skin

Got oily skin and acne problems? Then this toner is for you! It's homemade and will help you diminish your skin's oiliness, acne and large pores.

This toner is only consists of two key ingredients: Green Tea and Apple Cider Vinegar.

Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties and works well in fighting acne. On the other hand, apple cider vinegar brings down the skin pH level thus reducing the oiliness.

For extra benefits, you can add few drops of essential oils like tea tree oil and/or lavender oil. Tea tree oil helps combat acne breakouts, blemishes, dark spots and pimples. While lavender oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help battle acne and inflammation.

Here is the recipe:


  •  ¾ cup of Steeped green tea
  • ¼ cup of Raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar 
  • a few drops of Tee tree oil (optional)
  • a few drops of Lavender oil (optional) 


  1. Dip a bag of green tea in a ¾ cup of boiling water and pour it into a jar.
  2. Add ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar in it and mix it well.


  1. Dip a piece of cotton into the toner and gently apply it on your face. Also, you can put it in a spray bottle and lightly spray it on your face.
  2. Do not rinse it off after applying, instead let it dry.
  3. For effective results, use it twice daily. 
*You can store this toner in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
