The trunko is among the strange animals that have beached the Philippine shore in the past week. Dead oarfishes and sunfishes are found by many residents, and the pictures are uploaded on Facebook. Many Filipinos believe that the appearance of these rare creatures are omens or prelude to a disaster. The trunko or globster was found in February 22 2017, and the pictures are uploaded by a Facebook user named Marjorie Cabatingan Aboy.
