Mini Ice Age Is Near

Have you heard of the Ice Age? No, not the animation movie but the real ice age when the world turns to a big winter wonderland? A Math professor tells that a mini Ice Age in near to come according to a Solar Cycle model which is 97% precise.

Mini Ice Age Is Near

A newer model of the Sun's solar course is generating a precise forecast of irregularities within the Sun's 11-year heart beat. This model draws on Dynamo effects in 2 sheets of the Sun, one near the surface and the other beneath within its convection zone. The forecast from the model tells that the solar activity will drop by 60% by 2030 to the situation that happened during the mini ice age that started in 1645.

There are some ways that man can do as much about it. This is not climate change but our Sun's activity which acts an important role in all things around us.

A mathematical model shows that the Sun could "relax" or cool down this coming years making large events on Earth.

Dynamo effects

As we all know, life on Earth has been very dependent on the sun. This is a reason why it is really important to study our star.

Valentina Zharkova, a professor from the University of Northumbria tells that her discovery that came from a computer model of sunspots has made exceptional precise forecast.

The model was proven to have an accuracy of 97% when calculating the past activities of the sunspots using the information of solar cycles from 1976 to 2008. This gives a disturbing forecast for Earth's future, a mini ice age that could hit Earth as early as 2030.

In order to get this findings, scientists mapped the activity of the solar fluid approximately 11 year cycle which correlate to the weather cycle on Earth.

At around 2022 or cycle 25, a pair of waves will drift from the northern to the southern hemisphere of the sun, getting out of harmony and lessening the solar activity.

 Ice Age

Zharkova said "In Cycle 26, the 2 waves that precisely mirror each other, reaching the highest point at the same time but in opposite hemisphere of the sun. Their cooperation with each other will go "out of order" or they will closely cancel each other. We see that this will lead to the properties of a 'Maunder minimum."

Maunder Minimum was a period in history that lasted from 1645 to 1715 when the sun hardly made any sunspots that created the mini Ice age on Earth. During that 70 years, some parts of Northern Europe and US were overcome by indescribable cold winter.

Interestingly, the river of Thames that is gushing through London froze for 7 weeks and was accessible by foot.
