Reasons Why You Should Snack Fruits Over Chips

Eating has been part of our daily lives. In fact, some of us eat five times a day. 'Merienda' in the afternoon and Midnight snack being munch late night. That’s why many people used eating in order to cope up with stress and even to forget a certain heart break.

Most of the time, we tend to indulge ourselves with fried and sweets . Yes, it does enhance our mood but only for a short period of time. But hey, we can comfort ourselves without compromising our health. Yes, hitting two birds with one stone. You enhance your mood and at the same time you eat healthy.

Here are the cravings that are better than chips:

Cashews which contains zinc. That produces dopamine - a chemical that boosts energy and improves our mood.

Seeds that can be found in any pumpkin, sunflower, and sesame seeds are high in magnesium, which is a precursor for neurotransmitters like serotonin, which well-known for helping regulate emotions and enhance well-being.

Avocado which is rich in glutathione that blocks intestinal absorption of certain fats. It also contains lutein, beta-carotene, Vitamin E & B, and folate.

Berries, all berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry) are rich in vitamin C known to be helpful in combating stress. Blueberries have some of the highest level of the anthocyanin, antioxidant for sharper cognition.

Fruits have less calories but nutrient-dense foods. Meaning you are getting more by eating only less amount of it. So why eat chips that are too high in sodium and bad fats when you can eat fruits for a richer, healthier snack?
